Creating Memories - Building Knowledge
Once we have made the decision to commit something to memory we have to work to make that happen, normally a tiresome and inefficient process most of us have more than a little difficulty with. Mindburn seeks to re-invent the way you manage your memory, it is intended to become a part of your daily routine and so works hard to give you the utmost in convenience.
New Note from Dock
The first step in managing your memory with Mindburn is to create a new note. Mac OS X has a number of standard ways of doing this: as you would expect there is a menu option and keyboard shortcut from within the program. New notes can also be rapidly created by right clicking (or alt hold) on the dock icon menu.
New Note from alt/right click
In fact, alt/right clicking is a great way to get a lot of things done in Mindburn. Once you're familiar with the basics, explore the many options to make managing your memory lightning fast.
You're reading a chapter from a book, just how much of it do you want to remember? Remembering all of it verbatim is rarely required, at the other extreme remembering none of it seems rather futile - unless of course it was a particularly bad chapter! So it seems reasonable that some kind of a summary of key points from your material is required - of course - without this you would be faced with having to re-read the entire chapter on every review occasion.
